bestbacklinks.io ("we", "us") operates an anonymous backlink marketplace for buying guest posts and arranging link exchanges. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the platform.

Information we collect

  • Account data: your email address, an anonymous member number, optional display name and WhatsApp number, and your role (buyer, seller, or both).
  • Website data: for sellers, the domain you submit and its verification status. Real domains are never shown publicly; buyers only ever see a masked version and metric ranges.
  • Transaction data: orders, exchanges, wallet balance, and payment records. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
  • Usage data: device and browser signals used for security, fraud prevention, and rate limiting, plus standard analytics.
  • Messages: messages you send to other parties on an order, which are screened to keep the platform safe.

How we use your information

  • To operate the marketplace: verify sites, place orders, hold funds in escrow, and release payouts.
  • To keep both sides anonymous and protected, and to prevent fraud, self-dealing, and abuse.
  • To send you transactional emails and, if you opt in, browser notifications.
  • To improve the product and provide support.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share the minimum necessary with service providers who help us run the platform, including Stripe (payments), our email provider, and infrastructure providers. Counterparties on a deal only ever see anonymized information (a member number and a masked domain), never your identity or real domain.

Payments

Card deposits are handled by Stripe on their hosted checkout. Card details are entered on Stripe and never touch our servers. Crypto deposits are recorded by the transaction reference you provide.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the marketplace is used.

Data retention

We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and as required to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations.

Your rights

You can access and update your profile at any time. You can request a copy or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Note that your email address cannot be changed once an account is created, for security reasons.
